I was really rather pleased with the resulting card. It's a bit different to the more recent things that I've been working on, but think it worked quite well....
....so using this as a starting point (and a good excuse to do a bit more fabric shopping!) I have decided to do a small range along a similar theme. I've put together a little colour story with some lovely muted lilacs, blues and greys , with some fab printed cotton fabrics and neutral linens. I hope to do a small range of greetings cards along with a couple of framed pictures for starters. Watch this space for an update!!

Below is a detail from one I will be listing tomorrow, in lovely bright pastels with coordinating buttons. They contain French lavender and smell beautiful. The bags are ideal for placing in a drawer or hanging in a wardrobe, bedroom or nursery! Ummm take a deep breath in and relax....

I wasn't really sure what to expect when I set up my Folksy shop last September, but overall I've been quite pleased. The sales have trickled in and I've had a couple of repeat customers along the way which is always nice.....so a big thankyou to all that have purchased and to those that have done a bit if window shopping along the way!! Here's to the next 50!

Today we have been on a short circular walk (just enough for my my 2 1/2 year old daughters little legs to manage!). This took us into the local village and then along a footpath with fantastic views towards the Pennines, then back through the woods towards home!
On the route back home is Hinchliffes Farm Shop, (http://www.hinchliffes.com/) our local shop which sells a wonderful array of local produce. There is also a small selection of animals which always keeps daughter Hannah amused! We love the adjoining Farmhouse Restaurant.... the menu is delicious and cakes are second to none!! The view looking towards Huddersfields Castle Hill from the veranda is fabulous on a sunny day, and all just a couple of minutes walk from home!!
